PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a zinc nanosheet useful as the material for producing an electrode for a battery and a semiconductor. PSOLUTION: A crucible made of graphite is charged with a mixture of carbon powder and fiber, an another crucible is charged with zinc sulfide powder, and heating is performed while an air flow obtained by blowing gaseous nitrogen into distilled water is passed therethrough, so that a zinc nanosheet is deposited on a quartz substrate held at 200 to 400C.
