PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared human body detector capable of improving the optical performance by minimizing the difference in light receiving sensitivity of a detecting element depending on the direction of a detecting area.;SOLUTION: In the state where the light receiving surface of the detecting element 1 is turned to the direction of a cross sectional central line L for linearly symmetrically halving the semicircular cross sectional shape of a lens 2, the detecting element 1 is arranged in a position O1 shifted from the curvature radius center O of the lens along the central line L, thereby, the difference in light receiving sensitivity between the visual field center part and the visual peripheral part of the detecting element 1 is minimized, and the optical performance in the lens 2 in the position corresponding to the visual peripheral part of the detecting element 1 can be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
