PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a PDP having high display quality by preventing uneven display caused by an applied amount of phosphor paste.;SOLUTION: This device forms a phosphor layer by applying phosphor paste to a groove formed between a plurality of ribs formed on the surface of a substrate. The device for forming the phosphor layer of a plasma display panel is equipped with a placing table to place the substrate, a nozzle head having a plurality of nozzles arranged in a line to discharge the phosphor paste, a supply part to supply the phosphor paste to the nozzle head, a rectilinear movement part to relatively move the nozzle head and the placing table rectilinearly, and a rotation part to relatively rotate the nozzle head and the placing table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
