PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for activating a terminal on the inside of a LAN from a node on the outside of the LAN.;SOLUTION: A network system is provided with a LAN, a router connected to the Internet, and a server and a terminal which are connected to the Internet, and the LAN includes a computer and a WOL device, and the WOL device transmits a notification packet to which the server is set as the transmission destination, and the router performs address conversion of the notification packet, and the server acquires a global IP address assigned to the router from the notification packet subjected to address conversion and preserves the global address in a database and supplies the global IP address preserved in the database to the terminal in response to a request from the terminal. The terminal uses the global IP address transmitted from the server to transmit an activation request packet to the WOL device through the router.
