PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting the objective lens inclination for reducing the cost and adjusting time.;SOLUTION: The objective lens 15 is adjusted to have an inclination of θX0 by calculating a quadratic curve by a least square method from the quantities of received light (L1, L2, L3) at respective inclinations (θX1, θX2, θX3) in the direction of θX, and calculating therefrom an inclination θX0 which maximizes the quantities of the received light. Also in the direction of θY, the inclination of the objective lens is similarly adjusted to an inclination θY0 which maximizes the quantities of the received light.
