PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-coated miniature drill of cemented carbide with a surface coating layer of a super-fine grain organization having an excellent adhesion property.;SOLUTION: This surface-coated miniature drill of cemented carbide comprises a base body comprising a shank part, and a cutting blade part in which an outer circumferential blade is formed, and in which an outer circumferential blade part has an outer diameter of 0.2-2 mm, and composed of a sintered body of carbide tungsten-based cemented carbide containing 5-16 wt.% Co as a coupling phase forming component, and a surface coating layer of an average thickness of 1-10 μm comprising a sputter deposition coating comprising tungsten carbide-based cemented carbide including 1-4 wt.% Co as a coupling phase forming component, and composed of a super-fine grain organization is formed at least on the surface of the cutting blade part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
