PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient ozonolysis filter having a long life by sticking an inexpensive manganese oxide having a superior ozonolysis catalyst function firmly and uniformly to the surface of a porous carrier having a superior gas permeability without using a binder.;SOLUTION: A porous material for ozonolysis, which is of a porous carrier carrying an ozonolysis catalyst, is selected as a porous carrier for the ozonolysis. The crystal structure of a manganese oxide or of a C-type scandium oxide structure Mn2O3, which is a compound mainly composed of a manganese oxide, is fixed to the skeleton of the selected porous carrier. The porous material for ozonolysis is given by impregnating the porous carrier, which has continuous open voids forming a continuous three-dimensional mesh structure containing #3 to #20 cells that pass on a 1 inch line, with a manganese nitrate solution and heating the impregnated porous carrier to 500 to 700°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
