PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a density of an inorg. hydraulic substance in inorg. hydraulic kneaded matter, by making the temp. of water in a sample container same to that of water in a water tank to calculate the apparent mass of a sample in water, and calculating the density of the sample from the mass of the sample and the apparent mass in water. ;SOLUTION: For example, a density of cement in a state being in contact with water is calculated by collecting a constant amt. of a sample of cement, adding an almost equal amt. of water to the sample to uniformly mix the same with the sample, and removing air bubbles in the obtained cement paste to measure the apparent mass of the sample in water. At this time, when the temp. of water in a sample container is different from that of water in a water tank 5, the density of cement changes in a case using the density of water calculated from the temp. in the water tank 5. Then, for example, the water temp. in the sample container is made lower than that in the water tank 5 so as to eliminate the heat of hydration of cement to adjust the water temps. of both of them so as to allow both water temps. to coincide with each other at a time of measurement. That is, the water content of the sample 8 is calculated from the calculated quantities and densities of the respective materials in the sample and the measured values of the mass of a concrete sample and the apparent mass thereof in water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
