PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency interleave method for minimizing a memory size and at the same time processing time, and to provide a frequency deinterleave method. SOLUTION: The modulation system of 13 data segments for forming OFDM frames that are inputted successively, and the number of the segments in the modulation system are obtained for each transmission mode. A frequency interleave table is created corresponding to the modulation system of the data segment and the number of the segments in the modulation system. The frequency interleave table stores a write address for writing a carrier symbol for composing an input data segment to a memory, and a read address for reading while frequency interleave is being made to the carrier symbol that is written into the memory. The carrier symbol is written into a write address that is specified by the created frequency interleave table. The carrier symbol is read from the read address that is specified by the frequency interleave table for performing the frequency interleave at the same time.
