PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal separator capable of setting up suitable filter length and sensor interval corresponding to each frequency band of a signal (observation signal) to be processed. PSOLUTION: The signal separator is provided with a plurality of separation systems 2 each of which has a means for calculating the coefficient of a digital filter for converting a mixed signal x of a source signal is outputted from a sensor 1 into a restored source signal y, a means for converting the mixed signal into a separation signal by using a digital filter on the basis of the coefficient of the digital filter and a means for passing only a specified frequency band and an integration part 3 for generating the restored source signal y by integrating separation signals from respective separation systems.
