PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reform a drain water to be neutralized or to be alkalified by disposing a metal member dissolving Mg2+ ions into the drain water, and to reduce a size of a drain water reformer.;SOLUTION: This drain water reformer of the engine drive type air conditioner comprises: a refrigeration circuit 10 including a compressor 11 driven by an engine 20, an exterior heat exchanger 12, an expansion valve 13, and an interior heat exchanger 14; an exhaust system 30 discharging an exhaust gas of the engine 20; and the drain water reformer 40 for reforming the drain water generated in the exhaust system 30 to be neutralized or to be alkalified thereby discharging it. The drain water reformer 40 includes: a reforming vessel; and first and second electrodes 42 and 43 made of magnesium, and applies voltage to the electrodes 42 and 43 to dissolve Mg2+ ions into the drain water from the electrodes 42 and 43, thereby reforming the drain water to be neutralized or to be alkalified.
