PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technological means capable of preventing the occurrence of inferiority by improving optical and electrical troubles in a boundary part in which different colored layers are mutually adjacent in a color filter substrate and an electro-optical device.;SOLUTION: The color filter substrate 210 has a first colored layer 214C arranged in a first region Ls and a second colored layer 214F arranged in a second region Hs, and it is characterised in that the first colored layer and the second colored layer are arranged mutually adjacent, the surface of the second region is constituted higher than that of the first region, and a level difference face is provided between the first region and the second region.
