PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polyimide film composition enhancing the adhesion of a metal layer.;SOLUTION: The polyimide film composition is manufactured by a method wherein a polyimide precursor-containing solution is applied to the surface of a substrate and the coated substrate is dried to form a precursor resin layer and the metal layer is formed on the surface of the precursor resin layer to cure the precursor resin layer under heating or by a method wherein the polyimide precursor-containing solution is applied to the surface of the substrate and the coated substrate is dried to form the precursor resin layer and a catalyst metal layer is formed on the surface of the precursor resin layer to cure the precursor resin layer under heating, and electroless plating and electroplating are successively applied to the surface of the catalyst metal layer to form an electroless plating layer and an electroplating layer or by a method wherein the polyimide precursor-containing solution is applied to the surface of the substrate and the coated substrate is dried to form the precursor resin layer and the catalyst metal layer is formed on the surface of the precursor resin layer and electroless plating is applied to the catalyst metal layer to form the electroless plating layer on the catalyst metal layer and, after the whole is cured under heating, electroplating is applied to form an electroplating layer on the electroless plating layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
