PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain white functional particles which elute a specific color tone dye, when brought into contact with an organic solvent, and to obtain special paper which uses the while functional particles and has an ability to identify oneself and others. ;SOLUTION: The hot water-insoluble functional particles are obtained by forming organic solvent-permeable white shell layers on the surfaces of core particles, respectively, carrying a coloring dye which is insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents. The characteristic of the special paper having an ability to identify oneself and others is to contain the functional particles. When it is tried to falsify the paper with an organic solvent, the dye contained in the functional particles is eluted. Thereby, the signs of the falsification can be detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
