PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a sufficient charge capacity of a battery irrespective of the turning on of a lamp so as to ensure restart by automatically stopping an internal combustion engine while turning the lamp on in a good condition.;SOLUTION: When a vehicle stops, an internal combustion engine is automatically stopped (S10), and if the on state of a lamp is detected by a lamp state detecting means (S12), a control means dims the lamp (S18); further, when the battery capacity detected by a battery capacity detecting means is less than a predetermined value, the lamp is turned off (S16, S20).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
