PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input the coordinate of one continuous line when a pen is moved from a prescribed point on an individual coordinate input part to a prescribed point on the other individual coordinate input part at the time of using the plural coordinate input parts as one integrated coordinate input part. ;SOLUTION: The coordinate input device constituted of the plural coordinate input parts 5A and 5B is provided with a detection means 12 for detecting whether the pen 6 is in a contact state or a non-contact state on the input part 5A or 5B, a measuring means 14 measuring the non-contact time when the pen 6 becomes non-contact after it touches either input part 5A or 5B based on the detection output of the detection means 12 and a comparison means 15 comparing measured non-contact time with prescribed time and discriminating it. When non-contact time is judged to be within prescribed time, the pen 6 is considered to continue the contact state to either coordinate input part.
