PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to automatically select a medium to be used when the user wants to communicate with another user.;SOLUTION: Usable media by the user are registered in a media list. When a transmission using a logic number is performed, a media list of arrival designation having the priority is acquired based on the logic number in reference to the media list of an arrival user and a logic number management database for storing its attribute information in conformation to the logic number. A medium for performing the communication is determined from the usable media of the media list of arrival designation.
