PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly and accurately form phosphor layers by arranging filament-shaped mold composed of a fluorescent material and a synthetic resin between plural parallel ribs prearranged on a base board, and forming the phosphor layers between the ribs by performing baking processing after filling a solvent optionally containing a synthetic resin having compatibility with a resin between the ribs. ;SOLUTION: Filament-shaped molds 54 are obtained by drying phosphor paste for several minutes to several hours at 100°C or less after being molded into a filament shape. The filament-shaped molds 54 for red, green and blue are arranged in order between ribs (r) of a substrate 21 by using support arms 52a, 52b and support bars 57a, 57b. Next, after removing the substrate 21 from a placing stand 51, a mixture (a paste shape) of ethyle cellulose and butyl carbitol acetate is applied to the surface of the substrate 21, and when it is baked at 450°C for 30 minutes after drying, phosphor layers of respective colors of red, green and blue are formed between the ribs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
