PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating wall which is easy to construct in the form of a firm, continuous wall. SOLUTION: A sound insulator 6, which has a constructed wall part 11 projected from one end and which has an approximately perpendicular side wall part 8 provided integrally therewith, is formed of concrete on each side of a sound insulating part 7 taking the form of a rectangular, almost flat plate. An elevated bridge 1 is formed at the edge of each side of the ground 2 by providing anchors appropriately in a protrusive manner and by placing concrete in-situ, and a spacer is put thereon. The plurality of sound insulators 6 are arranged in parallel as a locking wall part provided on one side wall part of one sound insulator 6 is locked into a groove part provided in the other side wall part 8 of another sound insulator 6. Reinforcing bars 15 are fitted and held in mounting holes 16 provided in the opposite faces of the constructed wall part 11 and are bound to the anchors. A closure plate is mounted between the ends of the constructed wall parts 11, 11 to define a construction space. Concrete 17 is placed ion the construction place, and the sound insulators 6 are integrally fixed in place on the ground 2 to form a continuous sound insulating wall 5. The high accuracy needed for installation of the anchors can be reduced, and the sound insulators 6 are easy to place in predetermined positions for enhanced constructibility. The sound insulating wall 5 can be firmly fixed in place.
