Topical composition containing an oxidation-sensitive hydrophilic active ingredient includes an amphiphilic polymer comprising a polyolefin chain of at least 40 carbon atoms and terminal (di)carboxylic acid groups, optionally in anhydride, ester, amide or salt form. The composition contains no N-vinylimidazole (co)polymer. An independent claim is also included for cosmetic treatment by applying the composition to the skin.
