PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave making snake movement flap and a wave making device using this flap, having wave making plates connected in a broken line shape having further continuity in the width direction of a wave while keeping main pattern motion in the depth direction, and generating a wave of a three- dimensional wave suitable for the actual ocean.;SOLUTION: This wave making device has the snake operation flap composed of a plurality of wave making plates pivotally fixed to a bottom part of a water tank so as to be longitudinally rockable, and a connecting unit plate connected to the wave making plates so as to fill up clearance formed between the adjacent wave making plates, and capable of opening-closing a plurality of fan-shaped plates in a fan shape, and has a plurality of actuators for longitudinally rocking the wave making plates of the snake movement flap, and has a control means for imparting snake movement to the flap by rocking the wave making plates by successively changing a phase of the arranged actuators.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
