PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a zinc-base plated steel sheet having excellent white rust resistance.;SOLUTION: A zinc-base plated steel sheet is subjected to electrolytic treatment at 1.0 to 20 A/dm² current density in an aqueous solution containing one or more kinds selected from the sulfate, halides, carboxylates, perchlorate and carbonate of Mg in an amount of 0.01 to 3mol/L in total expressed in terms of Mg. By this method, a film containing the oxide and/or hydroxide of Mg in an amount of (5 to 3,000) mg/m² expressed in terms of Mg can be formed on the surface of the zinc-base plated steel sheet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
