A device (D) for use in mobile communication terminals (T1-T3) attached to a mobile communication network (R) is dedicated to processing data providing information relating to passenger transport means (V21-V22). The device (D) comprises i) interface means (l1) adapted to exchange inquiries and response messages with mobile terminals and ii) processing means (MT) adapted, on receiving an inquiry for information on at least one station stop (S21-S25) served by transport means (V21-V22), to determine the geographical position of the enquiring mobile terminal (T1), then to determine a station stop (S23) as a function of that geographical position and one or more optimization criteria, and then to generate a response message to be sent to said enquiring mobile terminal (T1) that includes the coordinates of the station stop (S23) that has been determined.
