The invention relates to new furostanol saponins and to a method for obtaining furostanol saponins from the biologically active substance isolated through alcohol extraction from Tribulus terrestris L. According to the invention, novel, undescribed so far in the literature biologically active substances are obtained, which are contained in the known Tribulus terrestris L preparation. These compounds can be discovered and proven for the purposes of producing the preparation by an easy to understand method. Still another advantage of the invention consists in that the methods worked out allow the individual industrial obtaining of the pure compounds needed by the producers of the phytochemical preparation as standard specimen for ensuring a production meeting the modern high requirements to the quality and purity of the medicaments produced, in accordance with GMP. The invention makes it possible to standardize the preparation by one or more of its active components. Protodioscin and prototribestin are produced in a more beneficial and productive manner.
