Attenuation coefficient spectrum for use in foraminal endodu00c8ntico root finder. This patent claim to the discovery of a new parameter called spectral attenuation coefficient root - caer, for use in the measurement of the length of the root canal (CCR) and in the location of the apical foramen (LFA).In experimental work it was found that there is a spectral type exponential decay attenuation in the signal measured between two electrodes so positioned, a stuck to the lip of the patient, and a lime endodu00f3ntica inserted in the root canal. The graphics (2.3) and (2.6) are the aspectros frequencies of signals applied and measured, respectively.The exponential attenuation is due to the electrical characteristics of the channel of the tooth. In a logarithmic scale the spectral attenuation has a linear behavior, as presented in the fru00e1fico (2.10). In the experiments, it was discovered that the measure of the slope of the line (2).10), called the spectral attenuation coefficient root (caer), allows the determination of the CCR and the LFA. The caer is converted as RCC by means of a conversion equation obtained experimentally.
