"The process immuno histoquu00ecmico for detection of parasites of the genus Leishmania cause of canine visceral leishmaniasis (LVC)".The present invention relates to a new process for immuno histochemical detection of parasites of the genus Leishmania cause of canine visceral leishmaniasis (LVC).Using the technique proposed, the method estreptoavidina peroxidase, immuno histochemical procedure applied in the state of the art.It is modified by replacement of monocionais antibodies by serum of dog naturally infected by leu00edshmania.The LVC is a serious zoonosis, in which the domestic dog is, at the same time, victim and the reservoir for infection of the insect vector (flebotomu00edneo).The proposed measures for the control of leishmaniasis involve the treatment of human cases, the sacrifice of infected dogs and the application of insecticides in homes and peridomicu00edlios.According to the recommended by the World Health Organization, the elimination of infected dogs is an important method to control the spread of human disease. So the importance of the use of accurate diagnoses and of low cost.Human visceral leishmaniasis (LVH) is a chronic and systemic disease, characterized by fever of long duration, and other events and, if not treated,Evolves to death in 1 or 2 years after onset of symptoms, the dog, as it is known, is the main reservoir domestic LVH because the presence of the parasite in organs and tissues.Especially in the ear and face, is the source of infection for the insect vector.
