PREPARATION OF METAL / METAL oxide CATALYST LOADERS BY CHEMICAL PRECURSOR NANOMETALURGY IN DEFINED REACTION SPACES BY MEDIUM AND ORGANOMETHAL INGENOUS AND ORGANIC INGREDIENT PRECURSORS. The present invention relates to a catalyst comprising a porous carrier having at least one side open hollow spaces, the aperture having at least along a direction of expansion a diameter of ca. about 20 nm with a specific surface area of at least 500 m¬ 2¬ / g as well as a charge of at least one catalytically active metal component of at least 2,5 m¬ 2¬ per gram of catalyst. Further the invention relates to a process for the preparation of a catalyst as well as its use in methanol synthesis or as a reformer in fuel cell technology.
