Weft yarn of heat-insulated polyamide 6.6 multifilament yarn for tire cord fabrics, with a total fineness of 100 to 400 dtex, showing at the same time: SLASEpri 80% elongation at 6 cN / tex to 12 cN / tex, maximum elongation 150% to 300%, strength 14 cN / tex, reversibility limit 5 cN / texaz 10 cN / tex, thermal shrinkage at 160 degC, 0.15 cN / tex and 0.8 cN / tex, free shrinkage at 160 deg. C 1%, and a method of producing a weft yarn from thermally protected multifilament multifilament yarn made of polyamide 6.6 for tire cord fabrics, wherein the polyamide 6.6 LOY fibers are 10 to 200% long and subsequently compressed gas knots at least 10 knots per meter.
