The stand (2) for drying pelt animal skins has a sandwich structure with front side surfaces and first and second side surfaces providing effective aeration facilities for drying of skins pressed on to it. The stand has a channel running in its longitudinal axis and connects with an inner hollow space (90) in a drying station (8). Dry air is blown into the hollow space which via channels in the stand is conducted against the skins pressed on to it.
