Method and device for data transfer between an underground salt cavity and the ground surface

The method involves suspending tools at a fixing system (20) positioned downstream from a security valve (18). The tool has a measuring apparatus (22) linked to the fixing system and an information transmitter/receiver (26) linked to the apparatus. The transmitter/receiver and a structure unit are coupled to allow transmission of information between the apparatus and surface by propagating waves through the structure unit. The measuring apparatus (22) is connected to the fixing system (20) by a conducting cable (24) and the information transmitter/receiver is connected to the measuring apparatus (22) by another conducting cable (28). An independent claim is also included for a device for transmitting information between salt cavity and ground surface.
