The coupling has a coupling-shaft vertically pivoted at a linkage housing of a railway vehicle. A coupling-head is provided at a free end of the coupling-shaft. A separable center position coupling (6) releases the connection between a control mechanism of a horizontal central resetting device and a center position guide when a critical impact force or traction force exceeds. A connecting plate moves backwards and pushes the linkage into a space provided in an undercarriage of the wagon body during crash. The connection between the coupling-shaft and the control mechanism is released during crash i.e. when impact force or traction force is transmitted over the shaft.
