A gaming media acceptance device comprising a gaming media detecting means detecting a gaming media inserted through a gaming media insertion slot and a value data storage means storing first value data representing a gaming value of said gaming media, said device comprising:a setting gaming media having a data storage part capable of storing second value data different from the first value data representing the gaming value of said gaming media;a setting gaming media detecting means detecting said setting gaming media inserted through the gaming media insertion slot;a data detecting means detecting the second value data stored in the data storage part of said setting gaming media inserted through the gaming media insertion slot;a data change means changing the first value data stored in said value data storage means to the second value data detected by said data detecting means; anda data erasing means erasing the second value data stored in the data storage part of said setting gaming media detected by said setting gaming media detecting means.
