The present invention relates to the use of a special cutting tool suited for the extraction of isolated hair follicular units from donor regions and the transplantation of same extracted hair follicules on zones bare of hair. The proposed herein cylindrical hollow metal cylinders pertain to three different families, they exhibit a range of calibres going from 0,40 to 1,00 mm and they are furnished with conical cutting edges facilitating the penetration of the cutting tool into the skin. The first family of cutting tools (fig.1) comprises cylindrical hollow metal cutters provided with a sharp cutting conical edge and a free from side-to-side cylindrical body; being of lightweight construction, the cutters in question may be easily handled by the practitioner. The second family (fig. 2) constitutes a variant of the first family except that both ends of the cylindrical cutting tool bear two sharp cutting conical edges so that two calibres are provided. The third family (fig.3) constitutes a cross-like four-caliber variant of the first family. The use of the aforementioned cutting tool allows the extraction of isolated hair follicules for simple and anodyne hair implantation with nostitches or danger of nerves destruction; in parallel, the duration of the donor region recovery is dramatically reduced with no visible scars left.
