A TOOL FOR BOTTLENECK DETECTION IN MULTI-TIER WEB SYSTEMS

A non intrusive method to monitor on-line transaction processing systems comprising identifying application transactions based on packet data captured on the network, determining the application transaction response time, segregating the said transaction response time into processing time and network response time, determining the time spent by the client in sending a request message to the server, segregating the said time into client and network time and server delay.
