This process includes steps consisting in manufacturing an eyelet (9) for guiding a warp yarn, making, in a threadlike element (81), an opening (84) for receiving the eyelet (9), and placing and immobilizing (F3) the eyelet (9) in the opening (84). During manufacture of the eyelet (9) at least two projecting tabs (95) offset from each other along its edge (94) and perpendicularly to the principal faces (92) of this eyelet are formed on this outer edge (94). During the placement of the eyelet (9) in the opening (84), a part (85a) of the edge (85) of the opening (84) is inserted (F3) between the tabs (95). As a variant, the tabs (95) can be provided on the edge (85) of the opening (84).
