Tridex procumbens is a medicinal herb, highly effective for fresh deep wound healing, pain syndromes of musculo-skeletal disorders1, arthritis2. Transverse myelitis and liver disorders. This herbal drug also favourably acts on Acid peptic disease, irritable bowel syndrome, pedal oedema and leucorrhoea and possesses property of tonic. A clinical trial was conducted on 1878 patients. The herbal drug was administered locally in Paste Form, orally in Powder Form and Kwath Form. Response was seen as wonderful, excellent, good and significant. Wonderful response was observed in fresh deep wounds and Transverse myelitis, while excellent to significant response was observed in rest of the diseases. This herbal drug has a peculier mode of action in so far as during the course of treatment it aggravates pain and swelling of joints and tissues for 3-7 days, usually after 1-3 weeks, followed by quick recovery and substantial improvement. On the basis of this study investigator deduces that this single herbal drug has several merits and will be one of most useful drugs in future.
