A pressure roller (10) mounted on rolling bearing (13) for textile machines, particularly for texturing machines, having an elastic cover (12) pulled onto an outer ring (11) of the pressure roller (10), whereby the outer ring is attached to the axle (14) of the pressure roller (10) by means of a rapid closure device that can be released without the aid of tools, characterized in that said outer ring (11) is held by an outer cover (17) which may be latched to the axle (14) or to a roller bearing mounting ring (15) of the axle (14) or may be attached by means of a bayonet catch or screw fastener.
