Abstract:A process for preparation of granulated non-toxic formulation of granulated phospamidon having the following structural formula 1, as active material comprising of coating phospamidon on an inert granulated carrier such as silica based calcites, attapulgites, dolomites bentonites along with stabilizers binding agents and dispersing agents such as herein described wherein the active content ranges from about 10% by mass to about 50% by mass of the formulations, about 2% to about 10% mass of other inert adjuvents having the following steps-(a) taking prior dried inert granular carrier such as silica based calcites, attapulgites, dolomites, and bentonites as aforesaid with optimal particle size ranging between 20 BSS and 60 BSS with ranging not more than 1% by mass of moisture in a rotating vessel;(b) spraying stabilizer such as selected from cashew nut shell oil, butero lactone about 2% to 10% of mass by weight of the inert granules, on the granules under slow rotation of about 100 rpm to 200 rpm;c) dissolving phospamidon of formula 1 above of 94% purity in isopropy1 alcohol and spraying the same on the said granules of step (b) keeping the granules under rotation;(d) dissolving 3.0 gms to 5.0 gms of a binder such as polyvinyl alcohol in about 25 ml. of isopropyl alcohol and spraying the same on the granules of step(c);(e) making the formulated granules of step (d) solvent free at about 60ºC at about 10mm to 20mm Hg pressure for 30 minutes and finally;(f) taking out these free flowing granules of step (e) from the vessel and packing them in suitable material such as laminated aluminium pouches and sealed under nitrogen.
