The surface comprises a lightweight drainage layer (20) as an intermediate layer. The drainage layer comprises a porous layer of particulate material partly or completely mixed with a binder. The particulate material comprises plastic or building rubble. A foam concrete base layer (10) is laid on top of the excavated foundation and a top layer (30) is provided on top of the intermediate layer.
