The case (3) is designed to be fitted inside a vertically-oriented elongate opening in the traffic light post (1). A curved flange (5) protrudes in the case cross-direction from either length edge of the case with a degree of curvature corresponding to that of the post so that the case is sunk inside the latter. The traffic light has a modular construction and its beam-shaped case is designed to be secured to the traffic light post at a point lower down than the main traffic light for road traffic.
