The vector comprises a sequence encoding a polypeptide, at least a portion of which represents a functionally significant domain, which is then fusable to a Cymbidium mosaic virus (CyMV) coat protein to form a fusion protein. A nucleic acid expression vector comprising a sequence encoding a polypeptide, at least a portion of which represents a functionally significant domain, which is then fusable to a CyMV coat protein to form a fusion protein, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method of producing a polypeptide which comprises expressing a fusion protein from the expression vector in an Escherichia coli host cell; and (2) a fusion protein comprising a nucleic acid expression vector comprising a sequence encoding a polypeptide, at least a portion of which represents a functionally significant domain, which is then fused to a CyMV coat protein to form the fusion protein.
