The holder has an essentially elongated carrier strip (100) including perforation (110) for connecting a carrier to a bookmark. The carrier is provided between parts of a ring binder mechanism, and the bookmark is made of braided ribbon (140) that is personalized with a decorative part (150). An independent claim is also included for a method for attaching a bookmark to a calendar.
