The installation is provided on a mobile chassis and the curtains etc. are raised and lowered by an electrically-driven shaft mounted on this chassis. The installation moves on tracks in a similar manner to overhead cranes. The lifting and lowering action is associated with a twin-axle movement linked to a backwards travelling direction of the installation. The installation is optionally computer-controlled.
