Has developed a strategy to simultaneously improve the properties of biomaterials based on starch, for applications biomu00c9dicas, and efficiency of therapeutic proteins. This new strategy, which is revealed in this invenu00c7u00c3o, consists in the fusion of a module of human route to carbohu00cddratos (CBM) with bioactive peptides.The CBM human used in this work has affinity for starch (SBM). This SBM was identified as a module of laforina enzyme, a phosphatase, and by function make this enzyme affinity for glicogu00c9nio. As has been shown, SBM has affinity also by starch.This is a polissacaru00cddeo low cost, available in large quantities and with different properties, which has increasingly aroused interest in the development of applications biomu00c9dicas. The biocompatibility and biodegradability, versatility, are characteristics of starch are relevant for the development of applications such as controlled drug release and tissue engineering.
