The forestry winch includes a special assembly (1) with provided connecting terminals (11, 12, 13) as well as a rigid lower security protector (15) which is looking away from the aforementioned terminals (11, 12, 13) and is firmly linked to the other assembly (1) elements. Above the aforementioned lower protector (15) and winch assembly (1) there is an upper protector (2) consisting of a fixed part (21) which is firmly connected to the winch assembly (1) and a rotating part (22) which is located above the specified fixed part (21) being rotatingly linked while at the same time it can be fixed in at least two previously defined positions regarding the specified fixed part (21). This way the winch user is protected against injuries, while the safety protector (15, 2) during transport and when the winch is out of use generally requires less space.
