The proposed method for simulating acute pancreatitis in experimental rats consists in cooling, after operative intervention (splenectomy), the abdominal cavity of the white rat to a temperature of 35 ?C with sterile physiological solution, accomplishing blood letting from the caudal vein of the animal in a volume that is equal to 25 % of the volume of the circulating blood, and additionally, filling the abdominal cavity with carbonic acid at different intracavitary pressure.
