A method for chemical and technical treatment for increasing wearing properties of articles made from alpha- and pseudo-alpha titanium alloys consists in regulated firmly soluble strengthening of metal surface by thermodiffusion saturation from the oxygencontaining atmosphere at the temperature of 700-800 DEGREE C during 3-5 hours. Saturation is carried out in the narrow gas-dynamic range: vacuum of 1.3 10-4-1.3 10-2 Pa, specific leakage into the furnace volume in not more than 26 mkPa s-1.
