The method for diagnostics of acute renal failure development genesis in a new-born comprises the renal artery Doppler ultrasonography, determination of blood flow middle speed in the renal artery, calculation of resistance index and next estimation of basic data. The indicated index is the ratio ofdifference the values of high and minimum blood flow speeds in renal artery in a systole and diastole and to high blood flow speed in renal artery in a systole. Additionally the Doppler ultrasonography is carried out for the superior vena cava and aorta with the determination of middle blood flow speed, the perfusion-resistance index is calculated and compared with the normative data. The hyperperfusion type of renal blood stream abnormality is diagnosed if the index value is less than 1.35 and the spasmodic type is diagnosed if the index value is more than 1.8.
