The invention relates to the medicine, in particular to the otorhinolaryngology, namely to the method for the differential diagnosis of the chronic catarrhal and the chronic hypertrophic rhinitis. The method comprises the spiral computed tomography of the facial cranium in the frontal projection, anemization of the nasal mucosa with the aid of turunda soaked in 0.1% solution of adrenalin hydrochloride and the repeated spiral computed tomography of the nasal cavity. The differential diagnosis between the chronic catarrhal rhinitis and the chronic hypertrophic rhinitis is performed based the patterns of the alterations in the nasal mucosa and the assessment of its thickness and the densitometric parameters prior to and after anemization.
