A HAMMER-MILL COMPRISES A CONTAINER BOX (20) WITH INLET (9) AND OUTLET (11) OPENINGS, AN UNDERSTRUCTURE (12), A DRIVE SHAFT (8) WITH FIXED BARS (1, 2, 3) WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY AN INTERMEDIATE BEARING BLOCK (14) AND A TERMINAL BEARING BLOCK (13), AND A FLYWHEEL (15) CONNECTABLE TO A MOTOR (16). ACCORDING TO THE TEACHING OF THE INVENTION, A PLURALITY OF ROTOR DISC PLATES (7A, 7B,7C, 7D, 7E), SPACED APART FROM EACH OTHER, IS DISPOSED ALONG THE LENGTH OF THIS DRIVE SHAFT (8). A PLURALITY OF EQUI-DISTANTLY SPACED APART OPENINGS ARE PROVIDED NEAR THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THESE ROTOR DISC PLATES (7) THAT RECEIVE CORRESPONDING NUMBER OF RODS (4, 5, 6) THAT RUN PARALLEL TO THE AXIS OF THE DRIVE SHAFT (8) LENGTHWISE. CORRESPONDING NUMBER OF FIXED BARS (1, 2, 3) ARE FLATLY INTER-CONNECTED ON THE PLANE OF EACH ROTOR DISC PLATE (7) TO CONSTITUTE THE SIDES OF A CONFIGURATION. THESE INTERCONNECTED FIXED BARS (1, 2, 3) AND ROTOR DISC PLATES (7) ARE REPEATED ALONG THE LENGTH OF THE DRIVE SHAFT (8) AND THE SUPPORT RODS (4, 5, 6) TO FORM A FRAMEWORK.ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION, THREE RODS (4, 5, 6) AND FIXED BARS (1, 2, 3) CONSTITUTE AN EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE WHEREAS FOUR RODS AND BARS CONSTITUTE A SQUARE.BOTH END PORTIONS OF EACH FIXED BAR (1, 2, 3) PROTRUDE BEYOND THE CIRCUMFERENTIAL EDGE OF EACH ROTOR DISC PLATE (7), ACTING AS FIXED AND ROTATABLE HAMMERS.A PLURALITY OF SEPARATE FIXED CONE-SHAPED BAFFLE PLATES (10) ARE DISPOSED INSIDE THE CONTAINER BOX (20) FACING THE FRAMEWORK OF FIXED BARS (1, 2, 3), PROTRUDING INTO THE PATH OF THE ROTATING LOAD TO BE SHREDDED.(FIG 1)
